I realize that the title of this entry may not be grammatically correct. I don't care. After 2 years and 2 months of trying to conceive, I am beginning to realize that there are more important things in life than correct grammar. Does that mean that I'm giving up my grammar pet peeves? Ummm. I think that means that they don't bother me as much as they used to.
Anyway, I've been keeping a secret. It's driving me nuts. We got a positive pregnancy test on February 27. That means that as of today, I would be 8 weeks 1 day pregnant. Bryant and I decided not to tell anyone until after the first trimester and the only ones I can share it with are my Fertility Friend buddies. They are wonderful women. I am just such a talker that I'm having a hard time shouting it to everyone.
My biggest problem right now is that I got that positive test 4 weeks ago, but none since. I feel pregnant. I'm really tired all the time, I'm nauseated, and have other symptoms. But my stupid OB/GYN is trying to tell me that I never ovulated. My temperature is way high, which means I did. After ovulation, the ovaries start producing progesterone, which is the warmer hormone. Your temp goes up as opposed to estrogen before ovulation, which keeps your temp lower. He refused to do any more tests. I have an appointment with my primary doctor tomorrow. I hope he can give me some answers.
In the meantime, Bryant and I have had multiple experiences that have told us that I am pregnant. We are spiritual people and we keep getting answers from the Lord that tell us to have faith. I won't go into detail because they are private.
I have done some research and found a number of women who never got positive pregnancy tests, blood or urine. The only way a pregnancy was confirmed was through an ultrasound. Is that gonna be me?
After 2 miscarriages, I've just about had it. I don't want to go through another one. It's just not fair. Help us pray for our little one!
